Industrial Grinder Frees Man’s Penis From Metal Pipe

Submitted by C. S. Magor on Tuesday, 19 January 20102 Comments | Google Buzz |

An unnamed man presented to Southampton General Hospital with an embarrassing predicament, his penis was stuck in a metal pipe. The pipe was restricting blood flow, resulting in a vigorous erection that would not subside; but his ordeal paled in comparison to what was to come.

Doctors in the casualty ward found themselves unable to remove the pipe with their medical equipment. Forty-year-old Patient X’s problem required an industrial solution. The fire department was called.

Seven firefighters arrived at the hospital with a tiny industrial grinder to assist in what was termed a “delicate operation”.

The firefighters from St Mary’s Station set to work cutting the pipe from Patient X’s anesthetized penis with their 4-and-a-half-inch metal grinder.

The firefighters used the four-and-a-half-inch industrial metal grinder to cut the pipe from around the “concerned and anxious” patient’s anesthetized penis. Patient X’s trapped manhood was released from the pipe unharmed aside from some bruising and swelling.

A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman told Metro:

It was a very delicate operation that required a very steady hand and the crew was worried about things getting too hot during the cutting.

It’s certainly an unusual call-out, and I’m sure the man won’t be getting into that situation again.

In an interview with the Southampton daily Echo, watch manager Greg Garrett remarked:

I’ve only come across this type of thing three or four times in my 17 years as a firefighter. It’s not a daily occurrence.

The patient never told hospital staff how his penis had come to be trapped in the first place, but it can be assumed that he has learned from his mistake.
