Woman in Sumo Wrestler Suit Assaulted her Ex-girlfriend in Gay Pub After She Waved at Man Dressed as a Snickers Bar

Well, there’s really not much more to say after that, now is there?

The title is an actual headline from the print version of the Dublin Evening Herald, and yes, it really did happen.  Nothing good happens when ex-girlfriends in sumo wrestler suits and guys dressed as Snickers bars converge on the same place…at least in Dublin anyway.

Sandra Talbot and Adrienne Martin had been in an on-again, off-again for three years before breaking things off in March 2007.  They both happened to show up at the George pub, one of Dublin’s best known gay bars.  Things went downhill quickly.

Talbot, clad in her sumo suit, bumped into Martin and instead of apologizing, had a few choice, unsavory words for her.  Later on the Snickers guy started waving to Ms. Martin, and when she tried waving back, Ms. Talbot swatted her arm away.  When Martin questioned her about it, Talbot lost it and allegedly hit Martin upside the head with a vodka bottle.

After the row, Talbot was escorted out of the establishment, but had to partially deflate her sumo suit in order to fit through the door.

The ongoing trial has been a barrage of insults and stinging barbs between the former lovers.  A regular she said/she said, if you know what I mean.  I suggest the squabbling pair of women both don the sumo suits, and fight it out until a winner is named.  Just don’t have the guy in the Snickers outfit reffing though.
