Consumer pile-up caught on CCTV [Black Friday Stampede]

This security camera footage shows the chaos that ensued when a Target store in Buffalo through open its doors for a 4 a.m. sale. Fortunately, everyone appears to survive the incident, which could very easily have ended in tragedy.

What is interesting is the reactions of the people who would made it through before people started being trampled. Presumably most of them would have realized that something was wrong – yet they power on in search of bargains. A couple of people stop to help and a few others stop to watch but the vast majority just keep on shopping. [Boing Boing]
