Tractors, beards, and deals gone bad all come together in this sordid story of a business deal between some Kentucky gentlemen that goes strangely awry.
Pictured is Harvey Westmoreland of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Westmoreland and his brother got into a bit of a dust-up with another pair of men, James Hill and Troy Holt, over a tractor that Westmoreland was selling to Holt for $250.
According to Westmoreland, Holt felt he was being swindled, and things escalated from there.
“Troy offered to buy it from me for $250 dollars. I paid twenty bucks for it. He thought I was trying to cheat him,” Westmoreland told WLEX-TV. “One thing led to another, and before I knew it, there were knives and guns and everything just went haywire.”
But wait, it gets worse…way worse.
According to the hirsute Westmoreland…
“(Then) they cut my beard and forced me to eat it,” he said.
Hill and Holt have since pleaded guilty, and are awaiting sentencing.
Anyone else as shocked as I am that this didn’t happen in Florida?
