Michael Douglas’ claim to have caught cancer from cunnilingus refuted by his agent

Golden Globe nominee and famous actor Michael Douglas claims he carries HPV [human papillomavirus] and blames oral sex for his throat cancer. Douglas, 68, says that he probably caught the virus from giving cunnilingus to some unspecified partner. HPV, doctors say, can indeed trigger cancer, mostly for women in their genital areas but also in men and women in their oral tract, regardless of their sexual orientation.

It’s important to note that HPV is one of the most virulent STD, and the Center for Disease Control even states that most men and women who are sexually active, will eventually get HPV, even those who have only one sexual partner during their lifetime.

Those are scary numbers! Do we really have 1:1 odds of getting HPV?

Relax though, Douglas’ agent Allen Burry says that cunnilingus has nothing to do with his client’s throat cancer. Michael Douglas has been cancer free for two years and has even resumed his acting career.

“Refuted”? No. “Disputed”, “contradicted”, maybe. And how the hell does his fucking agent know anyways? Is his agent an epidemiologist in his spare time? His agent is a dipshit and so is the writer of the headline.
