Too “Stupid” to Rob Banks

“Be Quick Be Quit (quiet). Give your cash or I’ll shoot.” – Note penned by Thomas Infante, failed bank robber.

A 40-year-old bank robber offered local authorities an open and shut case when he wrote his cash demands on a piece of paper that just happened to be half of his own payslip. After a clerk handed him $400 he fled the scene. Police investigating the crime found the other half outside the bank, complete with Thomas Infante’s name and address. They also found the brown jacket that was captured by CCTV during the robbery at his brother’s house. The FBI has stated that Infante has confessed to the robbery. He now faces up to 20 years behind bars. [Sky News]
