A 72-year-old male patient coughed up a nail that had been embedded in his nasal cavity for up to thirty years. The presence of the nail only came to his attention when he experienced intense pain during an MRI scan.
Oddly enough, Prax Sanchez has no recollection of any nail-related mishaps and cannot remember having used a nail of the type that he coughed up. Fortunately he had the wherewithal to notify the examining physician that he thought that there might be some metal in his face. It is likely that the powerful magnets used for magnetic resonance imaging dislodged the nail. Asked what he intends to do with the nail, Sanchez stated that he would likely frame it.
