A 19-year-old man who allegedly tried to run from Sykes Liquor Store in Trenton with a bottle of Hennessy cognac on Monday night cried when the 76-year-old owner locked him in the store.
When the young thief made a break for the door, the liquor store owner triggered the door lock from behind the counter. The young man then produced a hand gun and demanded that the owner open the door; however, the owner recognized that the gun was fake and telephoned the police. According to the police, the young suspect then threw away the phony gun and slumped to the floor crying, which he continued to do until they arrived to arrest him. [SFGate]
