Forty-two-year-old Thomas Frazier of Genesee County, Michigan has been jailed for failing to pay more than $530,000 in child support for the fourteen children that he has fathered by thirteen different women.
Frazier, who is unemployed, will be held for up to 90 days if he fails to pay $27,900. Court records show that Frazier, who may have fathered his first child at age 15, has failed to pay any child support for the last six years. When approached by investigators last October, Frazier gave a false social security number and went to ground. Frazier surfaced again in Iowa last month when he was pulled over by police for a broken tail light on his 2009 model Mercedes Benz. In his pocket police found plane tickets to Florida and $5000 cash.
While the mothers of his children seem to agree that Frazier has not been involved in the parenting of any of his children, with one mother, Talisha Tyler, going so far as saying that he had never even purchased a diaper, he did offer some words of advice for his brood:
Use a condom, you don’t want to end up like your old man.
