Student Designs MP3 Player for your Fetus

Music For A BabyWell, you knew it had to happen eventually.  A design student from Canada has come up with a specially designed mp3 player for the unborn child.  It is designed to wrap around the expectant mother’s waist and transmit music to the growing fetus.

Scientists have said for years that vocal stimulation, via talking and music, are vital for stimulating an unborn child’s mental growth.  Understanding this, Geof Ramsay invented the BLABY, a device consisting of an mp3 player, wraparound contoured belt, and three speakers.

While the invention is still in the prototype phase, Ramsay hopes to generate interest soon, and get his product out on the open market.

Like most scientists, Ramsay believes classical music is the best form of music for the developing fetus, however, any type of music can aid in a baby’s mental growth.

Nevertheless, Michael Bolton’s music is not recommended. [UPI.com]
