Amish Teen Busted For Beer In Buggy

amishA 17-year-old Amish boy was charged with underage possession of alcohol in the town of Leon, which is about 40 miles south of Buffalo, NY, when a deputy found beer in his buggy. Police in the area have stepped up their efforts against rowdy Amish youths who are accused of vandalizing an elder’s home after he chastised them for drinking and listening to radios.

The teenage beer drinking buggy driver passed a field sobriety test, but admitted to drinking beer. A 22-year-old Amish man who was also in the buggy was charged with providing the boy with beer. Both will be arraigned on June 22. [Yahoo]
