El Segundo, California police have announced the arrest of a well-known anti-drug activist for selling drugs.

Forty-seven-year-old Kendall Craig Farris sold an undercover police officer what he claimed was methamphetamine and ecstasy. Farris was arrested at a Starbucks soon after receiving an envelope containing $480. The drugs were fake, but the charges were not; Farris’ bail has been set at $106,500.

Farris, a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, is the director of the Over the Wall Foundation and the author of Drugs, Kids and Crime: Surviving Our Drug Obsessed Culture.
