Raider Nation Uncut: A Closer Look At The Shaker Heights High School Yearbook Cover Profanity

censored
Recently a profane message that was slipped on to the yearbook of Shaker Heights High attracted an enormous amount of attention in both the print and online media. The trouble was that no one actually showed a clear, unaltered shot of the cover in question; leaving us with only sweet imaginings… until today.

If you are offended by profanity do not read on.

In the words of a young man who will remain nameless:

The “profanity” says “fuck all yall” and it’s in the lower half of the picture. Its pretty hidden so you might have to do a little bit of searching. It was really funny when everyone started to find out, but it still wasn’t as big a deal as the school made it seem like.

While the young artist in question is likely ruing the fact that he got caught, something tells me that it will give him cause to smile for many years to come.

Finnaly a clear picture! Not as bad as the hype said. That’s smart to hide that! Maybe the artist will go on to work for Disney and make more of those subliminal messages that are in every Disney movie 🙂

I have looked at the original cover and there is no way anyone discovered this on their own. This had to be leaked out by the artist.

My vote goes to funny as hell, talk about getting back at your school in a very clever way.

What a bag the teacher who “found” the “obscenity” must be. He or she obviously has nothing to do now that school’s over – you’d have to be told about the offending word or you’d be spending way to much time with your mind looking into a gutter to see what you could find.

I think it’s a ton of bullshit. Even with the closeup (no box), it’s impossible to find. Shows how desperate we are for news when THIS hits the internet. Kudos to the artist for sneaking this into the cover. It just shows how little proofreading the Administration does. I wish I had a copy.
