Teacher Fired Over “Violent” Note

Submitted by C. S. Magor on Tuesday, 16 June 20094 Comments | Google Buzz |

Max Yarmolinsky, a 25-year old physics teacher in Norwell, Massachusetts, has found himself out of a job after a student snatched a piece of paper that allegedly contained “violent” words from his desk and took them home to show his parents.

Deputy Police Chief John Suurhans would not elaborate as to precisely what Yarmolinsky had written on the paper, but he did say that the physics teacher had been charged with being disorderly and that words written on a piece of paper were “violent in nature” but not threatening towards students or other staff.

He explained that after the note was shown to the student’s parents, they were “disturbed” and subsequently informed the principal. Yarmolinsky was then informed that if he was found on school property again he would be charged with trespassing.
