A 20-year-old man has been awarded a sum equivalent to $2100 after suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and ongoing pain following a kick to the testicles that he received from a 19-year-old woman.

Samantha Flaherty pleaded guilty to assaulting Martin Nohilly, causing him harm and breaching the peace, in an altercation that ensued while she was watching boy racers in a car park in Galway, Ireland. Flaherty, who is alleged to have been under the influence of alcohol, hit Nohilly in the face and kicked him in the testicles following an altercation between he and her group.
