Golfer’s Shanked Shot Kills Mother-in-law

A 66-year-old grandmother died after being hit in the head by a ball on when her son-in-law’s tee shot.
Janet Llewellyin was fatally injured when son-in-law Ronnie Battersby took his tee shot and the ball hit her head on the third hole of a nine-hole course.
Llewellyin was transported to Southern General Hospital in Glasgow by air ambulance but never recovered and died the next day.
