Pulled over with a blood-alcohol content that was almost four times the state’s legal limit, the ironically named Zachary Duis explained to police that for him, driving after consuming alcohol was something of a pastime.

Duis exclaimed:

Dude, I do this every night; I’m straight up and not drunk!

A northwest Indiana man was arrested early this morning near Portage for driving with a blood-alcohol level almost four times the state’s legal limit of .08 percent.

After failing two field sobriety tests, the 24-year-old was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and two outstanding warrants for resisting law enforcement and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

A certified breath test revealed Duis’ blood alcohol content to be .30.
