A 31-year-old Mexican woman was apprehended in Laredo, trying to enter the United States by hiding in a suitcase.

Customs and Border Protection in Laredo announced the arrests of Maria Candelaria Moreno, 29, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Ricardo Moreno Esparza, a passenger and Mexican citizen for aiding and abetting an illegal entry after an unidentified woman was found hidden in a suitcase in the back of their Ford Explorer.

The unidentified woman received medical attention as she had an elevated temperature and was then processed for an expedited return to Mexico.
