Santa Claus May Get Cited for Reckless Driving

santa1-300x199At least grandma should be safe this year.

A Canadian woman was injured when she was run over by Santa Claus.  No, not THE Santa, but rather, a float in her hometown’s annual Christmas parade that was carrying Mr. Claus.

The obviously unathletic 45-year-old woman tried to climb on the moving float to join other revellers, when she lost her grip and fell under the float’s wheels.

The float’s wheels ran over the woman’s legs and torso.  She wound up in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The float driver, apparently unaware that the woman was trying to climb aboard the float, will not be charged.

Hopefully Santa Claus will bring the injured woman something nice for Christmas–I suggest a membership to the gym, in case she tries to mount another parade float in the near future.
