Prosthetic Arm Used As Weapon In Prison Fracas

An inmate at Monroe County Jail is alleged to have shown extreme resourcefulness in choosing a weapon for the beating of a fellow prisoner.

RocNow reports that 33-year-old David B. Hanna, who is in jail on felony drug and parole violation charges, was charged with first-degree assault over the savage beating of 19-year-old Elijah H. Armstrong in which he is claimed to have used his prosthetic arm to strike the younger inmate about the face nine times, before stomping on his head four times.

Armstrong, who is in jail on grand larceny charges, said that he could not remember any details of the fight, which allegedly started in the jail’s gym. As a result of the altercation Armstrong suffered a broken nose, broken orbital bones and several broken teeth.
