Man Gets Probation For Attempting to Use Geek Squad Badge to Dodge Prostitute Bill

Parsippany, New Jersey: A 26-year-old man was sentenced to probation after it emerged that he had attempted to use a Geek Squad badge to impersonate a police officer. He was impersonating a police officer because he did not want to pay a prostitute for her services.

According to APP Mora met the woman at a Route 46 motel and that he had agreed to pay money for sex. After their copulation had concluded he presumably had second thoughts and threatened to call the police – then he pulled out a plastic Geek Squad badge. The woman responded by calling a friend who called the real police.

For his failed ruse, Jay Mora, 26, was sentenced to three years of probation, 250 hours of community service and he must pay a $500 fine. As part of Mora’s plea agreement, if he successfully completes his probation, the charge of impersonating an officer will be dismissed – if he does not complete his probation then he may be sentenced to up to 18 months in prison.
