Depending on your particular tastes, this oddly specific product will either be a blessing, or an annoyance. If you have a fondness for catching a glimpse of someone’s butt-crack, then you are going to hate this little item.
Make no mistake, the Backtacular Gluteal Cleft Shield is indeed a real product, manufactured and sold by designer Kimberly Brewer via her Kimberlily site. It’s fairly obvious from the picture just what the Backtacular Gluteal Cleft Shield is designed for–to cover the unwanted butt-cleft exposure from low-riding jeans, all with a splash of fashion and whimsy.
The shields are decorated with studs and rhinestones, and come in a plethora of designs, from fleur-de-lis’ to butterflies to peace signs. A pair of the shields are either $14.99 or $15.99 depending on which design you choose.
Here’s hoping that Ms. Brewer decides to branch out to that demographic so desperately in need of the Backtacular Gluteal Cleft Shield…plumbers.
