Pigeon Held Under Armed Guard on Suspicion of Spying

Even if they resort to torture, I don’t think they’ll get him to talk.

The pigeon in question was found in India’s Punjab state, which borders Pakistan, with a ring around it’s foot and a Pakistani phone number and address stamped on it’s body.  Indian police took the bird into custody, believing it to be on a  “special mission of spying”.

The pigeon has since been medically examined, and is being held in an air-conditioned room under watch by armed guards, in case the bird plans an escape, or the rest of his flock attempt a jailbreak.

Senior officers have requested updates on the situation three times a day, as well as the frequency of newspaper changes in the prisoner’s cage.
