Ever had one of those days that nothing seems to go right? Wondered why you ever got out of bed some days?
That is probably what Ginger McGuire thought when it was discovered that airline staff failed to spot her snoozing for more than three hours after her flight touched down at Philadelphia International Airport.
McGuire was apparently in a deep sleep and had not noticed the flight had actually landed at 12.27am local time. She was finally woken by a cleaner at 3.50am as the aircraft sat on the tarmac. Clearly it must have been a very smooth landing.
Trevor Hirz, a fellow traveller, said.
I can’t believe on a 50-passenger plane that nobody would wake someone up like that
Not surprisingly, a spokesperson for United Airlines said
We are working closely with our partner Trans States to investigate the cause and remedy the situation with the customer
I’m curious why Mr Hirz didn’t wake her. He may have been married of course, which would probably explain everything.
