In what could only be considered a temporary Australian, a very brave stupid Victorian man was photographed swimming right in front of a crocodile trap at a Northern Territory waterhole, the same waterhole where a large saltie has already been caught this year.
Tim Cotter photographed the act of stupidity in front of the trap at Koolpin Gorge, at Kakadu National Park.
The Northern Territory News reports that the park was forced to close the pool after a 3.5m saltwater croc was removed from the trap just after the wet season, t.
A warning distributed to all visitors of the permit-only area read:
Please be aware that crocodiles may enter the main pool at any time and may not be immediately detected.
Mr Cotter said he was shocked to find the man, believed to be in his 40s, swimming in the pool despite the closure. He commented:
It was just unbelievable, the guy in the photo was driving a vehicle with Victorian number plates – what a croc snack.
Unfortunately it is not the first time someone has done something so stupid. The Northern Territory often sees acts of stupidity of this nature, mostly from tourists who have no concept of the danger they put themselves in.
It may be as a result of a dare, or trying to imitate TV shows that promote people taking extreme risks for the adrenaline rush.
The thing that really bugs me is that people this stupid can still conceive children. Another thing is that these brainless types can still vote. Some things in life just don’t make sense.

So what if he is allowed to have children? Stupidity isn’t genetic, it won’t pass onto kids.
