Nerds picket anti-nerd picketers [Westboro Baptist Church]

Picketers from the Westboro Baptist Church got a surprise when they turned up, on schedule, to picket San Diego’s Comic-Con – a bunch of comic-reading cosplay lovers launched a counter attack of epic proportions who, dare I say it, beat Phelps et al. at their own game.

The costumed throng was chanting “”WHAT DO WE WANT” “GAY SEX” “WHEN DO WE WANT IT” “NOW!” at what appeared to be a much smaller crowd of the Christian right’s most lunatic fringe – but it was the ironic picket signs that they lofted in defiance of the hateful congregation that really made the day.
