An 18-year-old man has been given a notice to appear (NTA) in court after an alleged incident recently in Maroochydore, Queensland, Australia.
The man allegedly stole a pair of football shorts from a sporting goods outlet and allegedly setting off the security alarms. He was then told to stop by a staff member several times, but allegedly ignored this request and fled the store on foot.
A 20 year-old staff member gave chase along with a 39-year-old witness.
The suspect then allegedly ran over to a multi level car park and jumped a fence in an attempt to get away, rolling under a bus and hiding.
Little did he know he had just jumped the fence into the Maroochydore Police Complex, and the vehicle he was hiding under was the police “Booze Bus”.
A police staff member and officers quickly promptly arrested him, giving him an NTA for stealing.
