Cookie Monster Makes Audition Tape for Saturday Night Live

Yes, THAT Cookie Monster, the one-and-only cookie munching character from Sesame Street, has made his own audition tape in the hopes that the SNL producers are swayed to give him a hosting gig on the late night show.

And I say why not?

Cookie Monster, despite his erratic behavior in the presence of his one weakness, is otherwise charming, funny and charismatic enough to carry Saturday Night Live through one of its 90 minute episodes.  Betty White did it, and she’s older than dirt—so why not Cookie Monster then?

If his audition tape is any indication, he definitely has the chops for it.
