Plastic surgeon worried about looking like William Shatner to undergo first facelift

This is Dr. Richard Ellenbogen, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, and apparently he believes he looks like William Shatner.  Personally, I don’t see the resemblance, but even if I did, since when does looking like arguably the greatest actor of our generation become a bad thing?

That being said, Ellenbogen is planning to undergo his first plastic surgery, a facelift, because he thought he looked a little too much like Captain Kirk after seeing his mug on TV.

As per the good doctor himself…

“But I recently appeared on TV and after watching the segment, I realized I was starting to look like William Shatner and decided, ‘My time has come,'” he said.

“If you work in the candy store, sometimes you owe yourself a piece of candy.”

Ellenbogen is  a pioneer of sorts in the world of cosmetic surgery.  Known as the “The Father of Fat Grafting” because of the way he revolutionized the plastic surgery industry, the 66-year-old’s only difficult decision about the whole process was choosing who would be doing his procedure, an honor that went to Dr. Malcolm Paul, a plastic surgeon from the Newport Beach area of Orange County.

Unsurprisingly, Shatner’s camp hasn’t commented on Ellenbogen’s slight.
