Officers pwned by bath salts aficionado

A 39-year-old Merrillville, Indiana man has got himself some explaining to do… police believe that one Stephen Perosky was under the influence of bath salts when he took a Taser from one police officer and used it on another.

Police were dispatched to Perosky’s home after a 911 call. When they arrived, they found the woman leaving the house followed closely by the man later identified as Stephen Perosky. It is said that he became “argumentative with the officers” during the course of their investigation. At some point things escalated and the officers attempted to restrain the man. One of the officers Tasers was deployed, however, that proved no match for the and allegedly raging 39-year-old. The officers said that Perosky managed to pull the Taser probes from his chest, in so doing, he broke the wires. As the struggle continued one of the officers fell on the extracted probe, causing it to become lodged in his knee. Over the course of the battle, Perosky, is said to have taken a stun gun from one of the officers and used it on the other —is also accused of biting one officer and striking another.

The woman, who lives with Perosky, said that she had called 911 after he took bath salts (which are said to have a hallucinogenic effect). She became concerned when he allegedly forced her out of the beds bike pulling her hair.

For his troubles, Perosky has been charged with a number of felonies including: is arming a law enforcement officer, using a stun gun on a law enforcement officer, strangulation, two counts of battery, and two counts of resisting law enforcement.

The risk of sounding like I am promoting drug use, let me say this: there are probably dozens of illegal ways to get high that are a good deal safer than snorting something that is supposed to make you smell nice. Don’t smart bath salts people, it is dangerous.
