Goodfella Arrested For Public Intoxication

Goodfellas Arrest
Henry Hill, the mobster turned FBI informant whose story was the basis of the movie Goodfellas has been arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

The 66-year-old Californian’s arrest followed an alleged altercation in a Drury Inn lobby in Illinois. The Associated Press reports that he was in the area promoting his artwork and signing autographs at a strip club owned by Larry Flynt.

Hill was released on bail and claims not to remember much about the incident that led to his arrest:

Ever drink too much? Well, that’s what happened, I was in the hotel lobby and I guess I caused a little commotion.

I don’t remember too much. It’s coming back a little bit, but I drank just one too many. I woke up a few hours later in a jail cell.”

Hill, who was played by actor Ray Liotta in Goodfellas and who served six years for extortion in relation to his activities as an associate of the Lucchese crime family, seemed unconcerned at his legal situation:

Public intoxication? It’s a misdemeanor. It’s not a big deal. I didn’t fight with nobody.

Hill was dismissed from the witness protection program after a series of run-ins with the law. He currently earns a living selling artwork on eBay. He has also penned a cookbook.
