A Pennsylvania man was arrested after stealing $50 from his ex-girlfriend. No big deal right. Well, yes and no.
First off, the theft took place at Wal-Mart, where the ex-girlfriend worked. The man, 32-year-old Craig David Jr., was able to convince his ex to pay for his prescription medication. To repay her kindness, David Jr. stole $50 from her.
The quick-thinking thief then made his getaway–aboard a Wal-Mart motorized scooter. You know, one of those scooters that top out at 5 mph. Needless to say, he was easily caught.
Oh, and did we mention that David Jr. was wearing a hospital gown. That’s right, a hospital gown. According to police, our pal had just been released from hospital. Seems he had been injured in a domestic dispute–after being hit by a frying pan and table leg.
Let’s recap–man gets beaten with a frying pan and table leg (?), goes to hospital, gets released, goes to Wal-Mart in a hospital gown, asks ex-girlfriend to pay for prescription medication, steals $50 from her, makes getaway on a Wal-Mart scooter, gets arrested.
I doubt that the best sitcom writers in the world could have come up with a better story than that.
