Inmate Escaped Through Toilet

Osceola County Jail, Florida A gang leader is reportedly still at large after escaping from prison through a toilet.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that gang leader Michael Rigby, 21, escaped from a maximum-security section of Osceola County jail after removing the toilet and sink from his cell and digging his way to freedom.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Twis Lizasuian explained:

Sheriff’s investigators can confirm Rigby dislodged the toilet/sink combination from the wall of his cell. The opening led to an area with piping and plumbing. From there he was able to reach a secured roll-up door which led to the yard area where the two fences were located.

Rigby who has been tied to street-gang violence in Poinciana, was due to stand trial over an incident where a gang opened fire at a party

Rigby’s father and grandmother, who are believed to have assisted him in his escape, are now in custody.
