Navy pilots caught dipping choppers in Lake Tahoe


The person who shot this footage on Lake Tahoe was under the mistaken belief that she was witnessing some sort of training exercise. What she was actually seeing was boys with too much testosterone being stupid boys.

The Navy does not seem to be impressed. You see those MH-60 Romeo helicopters cost around $33 million a piece – and that little “dip” maneuver caused between $50,000 and $500,000 of water damage to the delicate machines. Both pilots have been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation. In spite of the needless damage and wasted money, it is a pretty neat trick.
