Commando Ben McBean, who lost a leg and an arm to an explosion in Afghanistan, played a nasty trick on English footballer David Beckham. The man affectionately known as Golden Balls told the soldier that he couldn’t imagine life with only one leg, McBean explained that you get used to it, and extended a hand to the champion footballer. What happened next is best explained by McBean himself:
As he shook my hand I let it slip from the socket. He looked like he would faint.
