Madonna’s Adoption Chances May Be Hurt by Her Lifestyle

It would seem that it takes more than a healthy bank balance to adopt a child in Malawi. Officials are concerned that Madonna may be a corrupting influence on children, due to her recent relationships to Jesus Luz and Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez. The Rodriguez relationship is a particular problem as the relationship began when they were both married (to other people), and her being the same age as Luz’s grandmother is not likely to help the situation.

According to Simon Chisale, Malawi’s child welfare chief:

We do not only look at the material issues, but also the moral standing of prospective adoptive parents, because we do not want our children’s morals to be corrupted.
