Dog Nearly Killed By Owner’s G-String

baxterA two-year-old King Charles Spaniel with an apparent taste for women’s unmentionables nearly suffered a premature demise when the elastic band of a lacy size 10 G-string belonging to his owner became entangled in his bowel.

The first hint that Baxter was in distress came when he refused food and began vomiting. Baxter’s owner (who has declined to be named) took him to University Avenue Veterinary Hospital in Palmerston in the Northern Territory of Australia where an X-ray confirmed a bowel obstruction and emergency surgery was performed.

Upon opening poor Baxter up, the cause of his distress was immediately obvious, there was about 20 cm of elastic entangling his small intestines. With the elastic removed, Baxter is expected to make a full recovery.

Said Baxter’s anonymous owner:

He’s taken off with undies before but we’d learnt not to leave them around.
