Two North Carolina Domino’s employees have been fired and are now facing felony charges after a video appeared on YouTube featured the pair mishandling food.
Kristy Lynn Hammonds, 31 and Michael Anthony Setzer, 32, have been charged with distributing prohibited foods after the video showed him putting cheese in one of his nostrils and placing meat underneath his posterior before whilst preparing a sandwich.
The pair have since been fired and the store is reportedly closed for decontamination. The original YouTube video has since been yanked for a copyright claim by Kristy Hammonds.
This is not Hammonds first brush with the law, on June 23, 2008 she was convicted and sentenced to two years of probation for sexual battery; a conviction that landed her on the North Carolina Offender Registry and that will likely affect sentencing if she is found guilty of the present charges. A spokesman for Domino’s has argued that there is no evidence that the sandwich was served to a customer. [Canoe, Consumerpop]
