Imposteur: Fake Waiter Picks Up Customers’ Tabs

margheritaToday from JeffG on We Interrupt Global Reports: A man posing as a waiter is reported to have pocketed money for food bills in two New Jersey restaurants on the same night.

The impostor is described as being a smartly dressed in a blue shirt, yellow tie and khaki pants, in his twenties with spiky hair. His first victims were two female diners aged in their twenties at Hobson’s Choice in Hoboken. After asking the women if they needed anything else before paying, he took their $90 food bill and left.

Two hours later, he appeared at Margherita’s Pizza and Cafe and asked three women whether they were ready to pay. They gave him $96 and asked for change, he took the lot got away.
