A staggering 87% of French people polled regarding an European Plan to allow blends of red and white wine, opposed the idea. Rosé is traditionally made by adding crushed red grapes to white grapes and fermenting the two together, rather than by simply mixing different colors of wine.

The poll further found that only 12% of people would be prepared to try blended rosé, despite the lower price. [NZ Entertainment via NewsNow]
