Store Accepts Antique Gift Certificate

xlPatty Meehan was pleasantly surprised, when cleaning up her late mothers home, by a $10 gift certificate from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board that had been given to her late father, Jack, by one of his friends.
She almost threw it away, when she realized that the gift certificate, which had been issued in 1980, had never been used. She decided to try her luck at the Hermitage state liquor store at Hermitage Towne Plaza, where it was accepted, albeit after a few phone calls.

Ms. Meehan remarked:

The manager and clerk told me that will probably be the only gift certificate from that era they would ever see.
