Fifty-nine-year-old Welsh grandmother Oriole Parker-Rhodes is a self-described “organic perma-culture sort of person.” Therefore, it makes sense that she would choose a natural method to keep the snails that were having their way with her vegetable garden in check. Her solution involved butter and plenty of garlic and was about as organic as you can get.
In Ms. Parker-Rhodes own words:
They’re perfectly good meat. They’re very high in protein and low in fat. In some ways, they’re better than beef.
Those interested in turning their own garden snails into tasty treats would do well to visit Ms. Parker-Rhodes website, it provides all the information that one needs to safely prepare snails for eating. [Daily Mail via Ananova; Image]
