Brazilian Prisoners Use R/C Helicopter To Smuggle Cell Phones

When Brazilian police pulled over a suspicious vehicle near the notorious Presidente Venceslau penitentiary in Sao Paulo state, they made an interesting discovery. In the trunk of the car was a large radio controlled helicopter that had been rigged to carry cell phones.

The driver and three passengers of the car were arrested when police discovered that a diaper tied to the base of the meter-long helicopter held nine cell phones. One of the suspects claimed that they were paid $5000 to buy and prepare the helicopter and that they would have received the same amount again for a successful landing.
