Wow. I thought everyone knew that black henna was illegal. Way to do research before permanently branding your child.
Parental fault aside, I would adore having a kick ass scar like that.
no, everyone does not know that black henna is illegal. how unbelievably insensitive and ignorant of you people to judge these parents just because you’re trailer-trash, barefoot upbringing left you with a mostly inapplicable knowledge of henna tattoos. how would any normal parent begin to think that a fun service offered at their resort would result in the permanent branding of their child. the resort is at fault, not the parents. go back to your double wide and fry something liz
I agree with Dani. I’ve used Henna for myself and my children in Hawaii many times but never realized there was an illegal brand. I now know. This incident was for a purpose. The word is out that there is an illegal brand of Henna. As a teacher I will always warn people of this situation. God bless him. He is a teacher’s advocate now for safe fun Henna tattooing.
As a henna artist myself, it is not only illegal to use black henna but you are not suppose to henna children until the age of 6 years!!!! You can tell by the color that it isn’t henna. Henna when wet has a khaki color, will turn to a dark brown after it has dried and once the paste falls off the color left on the skin will be orange and will change shades over the next 48 hours to a brown hue according to your skin absorption. I feel bad for this little boy! Please be careful to everyone out there…
I am very conservative when it comes to tattoos, but I have to say, that is one cool scar.
I’d think that the fact that the henna tattoo shop couldn’t spell “’cause” or “needles” correctly would be a sign that they weren’t competent.
