Drunk German Falls Into Open Drain, Gets Trapped By Beer Belly

Gerhard Wilder, 46, became a laughing stock when he fell into an open drain and became trapped by his ample beer belly.

According to the motorist who unsuccessfully tried to free him:

I tried to pull him out but he was wedged tight. He didn’t see that jokers had removed the drain cover as he staggered home.

Wilder had to wait for the fire department to come to his rescue, and he has now promised to go on a diet and to stop drinking beer.

Alcohol appears to have played a role in the incident.
