Giggling Children’s Doctor May Lose Registration For Anesthetic Abuse

jonathan-chahal-280_835127aA British doctor may lose his medical registration after he was found giggling under the influence of an anesthetic gas while on duty at a children’s accident and emergency ward.

A General Medical Council disciplinary panel found Dr. Jonathan Chahal guilty of misconduct for his use of the anesthetic gas Entonox while he was the senior house officer at Ormskirk District General Hospital in Lancashire.

The panel heard that Chahal used the gas four times over the summer of 2007 and that on one occasion he even arranged an “Entonox party” with colleagues.
