If you want to know what $144,000 worth of Ducati 1198S looks like, check out this latest offering from Red Fenix.

Starting from the ground, the super bike sits on a pair of 7-inch Marvic mag alloy wheels with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires; 16.5-inch wheels are optional but for track use only. Red Fenix have fitted their version with an all-new 47mm K-Service fork and shortened the wheelbase very slightly. Carbon fiber bodywork serves both to shave a few extra grams off the curb weight and add to the aesthetics.

Performance tweaks come by way of the mechanical wizards at Milan-based Desmolupo, who have managed to squeeze an extra 10-11 horsepower out of an engine that is already monstrously powerful. On a motorcycle that amounts to a significant performance improvement and calls for corresponding improvements to the bike’s braking capabilities. Here too, Red Fenix have delivered, with a pair of Brembo disc brakes. They have also taken the additional step of repositioning the front disc to allow for better cooling.

The price tag and the performance of this bike means that this bike is only for the lucky few with the bank balance and skills to master one of these beasts.

–Thanks Jeff
