Men Use Home-made Explosives for Hunting Turtles

Submitted by JeffG on Tuesday, 22 September 2009No Comment | Google Buzz |

turtleThe title may be a bit misleading.  They weren’t actually “hunting” per se, more like torturing a snapping turtle.  And they weren’t men so much as they were prize-winning morons.

Five Albany county men face charges of setting off home-made explosives and animal torture, after they blew up a snapping turtle with a home-made bomb.

The five geniuses videotaped the incident, and had planned to post the video on Youtube.  Take note all you would-be animal blower-uppers…if you want to get away with your sadistic crime, don’t be like these guys.

The videotape of the incident clearly shows the men’s faces, which made it uber-easy for authorities to identify them and make the arrests.

The arrest led to a search of the home belonging to three of the accused, brothers Tyson, James and Seth Pincher.  The search yielded a plethora of illegal items, including bottles of chloroform, handguns, sawed-off shotguns and fireworks.  One thing not found at the residence…common sense.

Along with the aforementioned Pincher brothers, Jeffrey Robert and Michael Robert, brothers as well, are charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, conspiracy, torturing an animal, and general douchebaggery (OK, I made up the last one.) [WNYT, Image]
