A 37-year-old Taiwanese man is in a stable condition following surgery to reattach his hands after his 17-year-old son chopped both of them off.
It is alleged that the boy attacked his father while he slept to avenge years of abuse. The boy, who apparently showed no remorse, is said to have attacked his father, a divorced ironsmith) after being beaten for refusing to take a job while he was in high school.
Surgeons have since reattached the father’s hands, the boy is in custody while authorities decide whether or not he should be charged.
