Deer Tackles Boy Playing Backyard Football

white_tailed_deer_buck2You know a football game is rough when wildlife gets involved.  Just ask 7-year-old Brandon Hiles of Wintersville, Ohio.

Brandon was playing a game of backyard football with a bunch of friends when he was dropped by a deer.  Apparently the youngster had stumbled into a fight brewing between two male bucks when he was attacked.

Luckily for Brandon his friend, Wyatt Pugh, saw what was happening and started beating the aggressive deer with a stick.  The deer then fled into the bush.

The boys took off to Pugh’s grandmother’s house and called 911.  Brandon is recovering from injuries caused by the deer’s antlers.

No word yet on whether the Oakland Raiders have signed the deer to a contract. [UPI, Image]
